Management & Leadership

Play to Win or Play Not to Lose

Strategic mindset: the difference between defending a position and creating one.

The business challenge

Why organizations ask for this

Leaders adopt risk-averse behaviours and defensive decision-making, which limits innovation and growth. Under uncertainty the organization optimises for not losing, and the competitor who is playing to win compounds advantage while you protect margin.
